Terms of Service

The service

YexID lets businesses run identity checks (such as NIN and phone lookups) through an API and a dashboard. Results are verified via a licensed partner. YexID is not a government body and is not endorsed by any government agency.

Accounts

You must give accurate business details and keep your API keys secret. You are responsible for everything done with your keys. Tell us at once if a key is exposed.

Fees and wallet

You pay per check from a prepaid wallet at the prices agreed with our sales team. A completed check, including a valid "no record found" answer, is charged. A failed or timed-out check is not charged. Wallet top-ups are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Your responsibilities

You must have a lawful basis, including any consent required, to verify a person, and you must follow our Acceptable Use policy and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. You are the data controller for the people you verify; we act on your instructions.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available but depend on third-party sources, so we do not promise uninterrupted service or that every record will be found. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Suspension and ending

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (fees owed, liability, governing law) continue after ending.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Questions: [email protected].
